Default BKP of my HDD

hi, I was wondering if it was possible and if it was a good idea to use acronis true image to backup my HDD and store it online in case I need to restore my HDD?

Opinions please.

Yes, I know someone who did this. He did a fresh install of XP, installed all drivers and necessary software that he needed. Then took Acronis and made an image of his hard drive and burned it to a cd. He told me that he used it once to restore his pc and it only took about 10 mins and he had a completely restored machine back to the day he made the image.

When all else fails...Ham Radio!

I still have the same old HP DV9700T laptop I've had for years...still kickin'
