Bittorrent Port Forwarding

I have a Belkin router and I am trying to forward the ports so i can use Bittorrent. I understand how to go to virtual servers and enter the inbound ports....the ip address, but i dont know what to put for the private ports. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm ...
I don't know much about setting up a proxy server but private ports can be anything, just don't put them on the public ports such as port 80 and so on

Its kind of like telneting people on command prompt, you just select a port and then place it after the command if you want

Any port number, as long as its not a public port ...

which client do you use?For Azureus i think the ports are 6881-6889
