Default bit of advice needed

im lookin to buy one of these packages off ebay

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 + Asus P5N-E SLI + 4gb DDR2-800 = 469.99
or
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 + Asus P5N-E SLI + 2gb DDR2-800 = 404.99


one has 4gb of ram and one has 2gb im just lookin to save somone money ill save like 60 do i need 4gb of ram or will 2gb do i do play games ie counter strike source thanks

I'd say 2gig would be more than enough! All depends 2gig will last you for quite awhile i would expect before youd need to upgrade again

yh 2Gb will be absolutely fine but if u want 4Gb ur gonna need a 64bit OS

A 32 bit would be ok with 4GB wouldnt it at the least? And wouldnt windows may not report you have full 4GB anyway?

32 bit OS cant address the full 4gb properly

umm TBH im not entirely sure i just know your standard xp 32 bit and standard vista 32bit will not support n e more than 3.25 Gb i think

raffaz knows y i just know it doesnt but i dunno y lol.

oh yh i think it wud work with 4Gb but wouldnt be able to use it all so kinda pointless

get 2 gig then then if they need more add it later . Be aware that the ram may not be a good brand of ram tho . I dunno i have looked at some of theese before and the ram isnt a good make so i would personally get it without ram and buy my own
