Can anyone suggest anything?
This computer is being built from scratch FYI

I power it on and can hear the hard drive moving but the bios will not detect my hard drive. I am confused as to why

Any help is greatly appreciated

I am not sure what to enable or disable in the bio settings. The manual is not helpful at all and doesnt speak about this subject.

Try disabling RAID in the BIOS and reboot.
Which one? There is a primary IDE 0 Master, slave RAID and IDE 1 master, slave RAID

There's no SATA RAID option? If you're not using RAID at all, disable everything wth RAID. Change the boot order in BIOS so that SATA drive is first.

Which one worked? Disabling RAID or the boot order?
disabling everything with raid

although, another problem arose right after this step
