i went to turn my laptop (apire 4520) on today and it turned on but nothing was happening i herd the cd drive running but there was no output at all it terned out the bios was corrupted so i reset it (removed the cmos battery) and it worked terned on fine everything was working then i terned it off plugged it in and terned it back on later then the same thing happened the bios was corrupted again! so dose anyone know what happened? i really do not want to remove the cmos battery again because i have to take the hole computer apart down to the main board to do it again...

reset the cmos and try updating the bios or adjusting the bios into failsafe mode. (The cmos battery might be dead.)

i agree with Atari, Boot in to windows and upgrade the BIOS, Even if you are running the latest version run the install again and overwrite the current BIOS, it could be that your current BIOS is corupt
