My father has a computer with a k8upgrade-vm800 motherboard, he recently bought a SATA Hard Drive (Samsung HD501LJ) which is connected via a SATA cable to the Serial_CH0 Master.
When I turn on the computer for the first time, the BIOS does not seem to recognise the SATA Hard Drive because when the RAID utility appears the Serial_CH0 Master is empty (it should have Samsung HD501LJ) next to it and a message is displayed "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or inset Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".
When I hold down Alt Control and delete or press the power button on the computer, it restarts but this time it boots up normally.
Any advice as too why the BIOS is not recognising the SATA Hard Drive the first time round would be really helpful.
Thanks Martin
