Default Which is the better video card

I wanted to know which is the better video card from these at 1920 x 1200:

EVGA 896-P3-1257-A1 GeForce GTX 260 Core 216

XFX GX260NADBF GeForce GTX 260 Black Edition Core 216

XFX HD-487A-ZDDC Radeon HD 4870 XXX 1GB

HIS Hightech H487QT1GP Radeon HD 4870 1GB

Also, is the jump for a GTX 280, 285, 4870 x2, or 295 worth it at this resolution (1920 x 1200)?

It depends on who you ask and what review you read. I'm sure Wol-va-rine could show you a review of the 216 beating the 4870 1GB, but I can show you a review of the 4870 1GB beating the 216. So go with the one you prefer or whatever's cheapest.

And I would say these are the perfect cards for 1920x1200.

i prefer the GTX 260 core 216, nvidia tends to have better drivers. In some games the 4870 may beat the core 216 but it majority of games, the core 216 tends to beat the 4870 by a bit

They are pretty much even. The 4870 1GB destroys the Core 216 in Dead Space. That's the only major difference. I would just go with what is cheaper. If you plan on going SLI in the future, the Core 216 is the card you absolutely have to get.

what are you talking about lol ? unless ati released new drivers but in the guru 3d tests that they did, the core 216 even beat the 4870x2 in Dead space. Did they update the drivers or something ?
