Default Better Video Card?

I am looking to upgrade video cards from the Nvidia GeForce 4 series to the 600 model. I have pretty much picked out two that I am looking at but have heard conflicting reports on which to go with, so I came here. Could you take a look and give me some feedback. I dont really want to spend the extra cash if it wont make that big of a real difference.

MSI GeForce 6600 $170

ASUS GeForce 6600 $135

I am going to be using it for online gaming. I know some people swear by MSI, but again, if in the end it really isnt going to make a difference I'd rather keep the extra $40 in my pocket.

Thanks in advance

I have the MSI, and it's very nice. If I had to choose, I would still probably go with MSI. With them I know I'm paying for that extra quality, but to be honest, they're probably not much different.

With that budget I'd get a 6600GT. It has only 128mb ram but it's faster than the normal 6600.

The only thing I might have an issue with on the GT model is that I read somewhere it required an extra power supply. I am upgrading to a gig of memory and with cost being the issue I would rather get the overall better card.... Or am I wrong in any of that?

get the asus, there is little to no difference between the two cards. Asus and MSI are both great board makers, just get the cheaper one.
