The fact that I've never had a good AMD experience either, plus Intel does pull out ahead in *MOST* benchmarks and actual games tests. I won't say that Intel's high end processors are "budget fighters" but if you want more performance, you spend more money.

Exactly. More performance for more money.
What about if you compare them based on cost, not clock speeds?
Then that is where AMD excels.

You can also get windows 7 RC for free now but you will have to buy a license in a few months, but I am not a windows user. I only have xp on one computer, which I think is still $150 for the pro.
