Default which is better?

what is better for turning modern games like crysis and modern warfare 2 all the way up?
dell: studio:
-Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q8300(4MB L2, 2.5GHz, 1333FSB)
-2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 2DIMMs
-nVidia GeForce GTS 240 1024MB
hp: Pavilion p6270z
-AMD Athlon(TM) X4 620 quad-core processor [2.6GHz, 2MB L2, up to 4000MT/s bus]
-4GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [2 DIMMs]
-1.5GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 230

the core 2 quad would probably be the best option for crysis and modern warfare 2, but the video cards are pretty weak no matter what

i would say, a core 2 quad, I7 processor, or a Phenom II 940 + for a proc

and anything faster then a GTX 275 or ATi's 4890

the dell studio is more resonable. BUT, you would possibly want to upgrade the GPu in the near future.

The HP would be the better of the two. They are pretty close till you notice that the HP has twice the ram at a higher frequency and it's DDR3.
