The dell... more hd space... more ram... only downside is the vid card is slightly lesser.

I would go with the dell

+ bigger hard drive
+ More RAM
+ DVD burner
+ cheaper

- Not as good video card

Deff the Dell Inspiron. because of RAM and hard drive difference.

I've heard and been told also that Alienware's parts are better though which is why they cost more money, is that true?

I'd still go with the Dell. They make quality products, and they back it up with a good warranty.

I have a dell inspiron 6400 too bad i have a sony battery that has to be replaced as it is a fire hazzard
