Best racing games.

Realised that i have'nt got any racing games for my pc, so i want to invest in the 'best' one out there. Can some people tell me their opinions please

Well I personally like Need For Speed Underground Most wanted

Plus, I also like the original Need For Speed underground, though I guess 2 would be better, but I've only played a demo of that.

What type of driving games are you after. Realisitic (Maybe the Colin Mcrae series?), Arcade? (NFS, etc)

Depends what kind.

Toca Race Driver 2 is very good for near realistic, Colin McRae for realistic and NFS arcade. Also check out Live For Speed - a free racing simulator with excellent graphics.

The Need for Speed series is excellent. I love NFSU. You get to customize your own car with performance parts, and race like there is no tomorrow. The graphics are really nice for the game as well. I've heard some great things about Most Wanted, so might want to give that a look.

am downloading that live for speed, looks online mode looks awesome. even better its free cause im a cheapskate.

PC or consoles?

These series are pretty good:
- Forza Motorsport
- Project Gotham Racing
- Need for Speed
- Gran Turismo
- Burnout
- Toca Race Driver
- Colin McRae

That's all I can think of from the top of my head, but yeah.

Oh yeah, can't beat Burnout

That said, I only bought a gamecube So only 1 and 2 came out.
I missed out on 3 So have only been able to play it on a mates Xbox...
