Default Best processor for gaming?

Hey I'm willing to spend about $200 on a good processor for gaming but I don't know which to get, either an amd athlon xp 3200+ or a amd 64 bit or a pentium 4 3.0ghz...which one is best?

No competition.



just kidding. The amd64's are definitely the smoothest.

I got a 75 mhz here that will handle nething u throw at it, just make sure the game isnt any newer than 1990..aight? ill sell for 400$

You can have the 486SX-50MHz laptop my friend has... it doesn't have a math co-processor.. you probably can play the original Prince of Persia on it.. maybe.. and I know Doom II may work... it only has a 200MB hard-drive.

But seriously.. Anyways, yes AMD 64 is definitely the best. No question about that.
