Default best pc brands

what is the best brand of pc to get and why............or why not?

When I get one I try to get it with high specs so I dont have to upgrade and I dont do gaming.
I though about customising a dell and I was shocked to see people hating on them so much here.

any comments would be appreciated
thanks

I wold recomend not getting a dell. half the computers i see in the service department of where i work are dells. and when i part goes bad, most dells are proprietary (meaning they only take dell-made parts) and are hard and expensive to fix.

for good service and ease of upgrading and repair (should you need it) get a HP.
