I've heard great things about the P35 chipset though. That said, I wouldn't' get an Asus board with one. They've let me down a lot recently.
Intel chipsets have always been better than nVidia chipsets for OCing. Really, the only reason you should get an nVidia chipset is for SLI.

The 650i isn't all that great. If you want a current board that's good for OCing, get a P35 or X38 chipset. What's your price range?

no im looking at it on newegg

and my price rang is 150 to 250, nothing more than that, but im sure i can find a nice board in that range, plus i never knew that the board chipset was that much of a factor in OCing a proc

Oh definitely, the chipset is one of the main factors. Most times with the Core 2s, the chipset will bottleneck the OC before the actual processor does.

I'd say the Abit IP35 would be a great board for you:

Or if you want the more futureproof X38 chipset, the Asus P5E:

You should check out this article:http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/06/...ards_compared/ It will tell you everything you need to know about the selection of P35 boards. The board linked you to earlier fairs pretty well.
