I actually prefer ABIT...well its one I have in my PC now. I like it because they tend to have some great overclocking capabilities, for example, mine came with the ABIT Guru Clock with temperature sensors, etc.
I haven't tried overclocking my system yet, though I know I will try when I get better cooling, so its good to know the options there.
I've heard ASUS are very good too though all round.
The only gripe I have with ABIT, is this board, AV8 is an overclocker, yet they haven't given it the best RAM capability to do that (PC3200/DDR400 MAX)

Um Well...
I think the poll is a bit open to interpitation. You have to take in to consideration that some brands are good in the AMD department while marketing just plain junk for Intel cpus and vice versa. IMO it just depends on what cpu chip you use.
I use Intel and have found both MSI and Biostar to be a stable and long life platform.
