Default Best monitor for the price? 24" or 22"

I have $300 to spend on a monitor.

I really want a 24". I will be gaming on it a lot.

Is 24" really worth it, or would 22" be better for gaming?

I would like the bigger one, obviously.

So what would be the best bang for my buck, in this case? can anyone find me some deals?

Open box, refurbished deals are OK.

thanks

Try and find a 22" monitor with HDMI thats all I can say...

I was thinking of getting a 24" but it's too big so I'll probably get a 22"..

If you choose to get a 22" try and get one with HDMI and <5ms response time.

if I'm asking the wrong person, please don't reply. I just need a few suggestions. I tried looking myself but want to know if anyone could find a better deal.

thanks!

I've seen better deals on a 24" with 2 MS that's also greater than 1000:1 aspect ratio...

thanks

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009152 Its 24" and I've had a very good experience with acer monitors and on top of that they give you the best bang for the buck.

If you want to go HDMI then this 22" would be a good choice

cool thanks! i was looking at the first one.

do you think I should go 22 or 24? i had a 24" imac and wasn't extremely overwhelmed. I had a 22" just before that.

is 24" too much for gaming? or would I really not even notice a difference with a 22"??

I've got Westinghouse's 24" monitor and am using the HDMI connection on it. Games, movies, pictures look flawless on it and extremely vibrant. I believe I paid less than $400 shipped to my door at the time.

$300 is not enough for a monitor of that size.

A cheap 22" monitor is not worth it, believe me, I had one. The 1680x1050 resolution is not big enough for that size, and the quality suffers.

The only monitor that might be good is this:

Honestly, in that price range, you're better off with a really nice 20.1" if you care about quality.
