Best laptop for gaming? 500$?

yea just like maybe Modern warefare 2 on medium or low graphics... I mean this is for my friend hes a douche and wants it for 500$. i explained to him your not gonna get crap for 500$. but i wanna see if u guys can get a good find

Why a laptop though?

I could put together a very good gaming desktop for $500, but as far as laptops go, there pretty much is no such thing as a gaming laptop for that price. It will be a standard laptop with crappy graphics.

Try it.

Tell him anything for $500 won't get good framerates in CoD no matter what. $500 is entry level for a laptop.

I got a pretty decent notebook on sale for $500, it plays L4D on low settings... L4D isn't terribly graphics intensive as newer games and it still lags on my notebook... He will regret paying only $500 for a notebook for gaming. Tell him to save more money and decide on a desktop.

It has a 9800M GS and that card gets 47fps on high on CODMW1 and 28fps on crysis on high. Pretty badarse deal, i'd jump on it if I had the money myself.

^that is a good deal. Not the best gaming laptop, but it will work.
