Default the best but cheapest video card

what is the best video card out right now but the cheapest? im building a game system and i have no clue what to get.i want to get an ati but i dont know anything about them...

less then $200. i want one that can run battlefield bad company 2 on high. or either that or one that i wouldnt have to upgrade for atleast another year or 2

what size monitor you using?

and i hope your power supply can handle it.
Req at least a 450W PSU, in good quality.

On ebay, you can get a 4850 x2 for like $210.

That card outperforms $300 cards.

I just purchased an HD5770, XFX. It's quite a monster for the price, and has DX11 and OpenGL5.1, so it should be relatively future proof as well

Its awesome. My brother has one.

I also have a 4850 x2 in the HTPC and the performance difference is insane. Like 70% faster in benches.

If you can afford the x2, buy it. You will need a good PSU but it is amazing.

I agree that it's faster, but he might want DX11 and EF support.

If he's playing BF:BC2, then he'll definitely want DX11 support.

@OP, what resolution are you playing at...? 1440x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080...? that is the most important factor in picking a card to fit your system...
