Since others have posted what machine they have I'll add that I have a 16x Dual layer Samsung.
As for media, I use the Verbatim brand for my DVD+rw's. And for more permanant storage I use Memorex DVD+R. Right now dual layer blanks are just not cost effective to use. In the states a dual layer blank runs about $10.00 each at the local computer store.
