Default battlefield 2 resolution problems

hey guys, i have a 6800ultra 256ddr3 overclocked to 440mhz core, and 2015mhz ram, anyway, im trying to run it on my dads LCD which has a native res. of 1280x1024 this resolution does not show up in the list of resolutions, i can run the game maxed out with all filters on and get 50fps at 1124x864 ( that may not be the exact res, but its the 1100 one

how do i get the 1280x1024 on the list????

i think bf2 can only go up to 1024x768

this is the only way i could think of recieving a higher resolution

isn't 1024x768 a better resolution for gamers to run at?

Like my desktop is at 1280x1024, but when I play my games I play at 1024x768.

don't think you can get it to the list.
But an easy way to use it is to add +szx 1280 +szy 1024 to the end of the path of the bf2 shortcut.
