Did you guys here the news with ATi? ATI said that they will allow the X1800 XT overclocking to as high as 700MHz core and 1.6GHz memory. ATi however, will not guarantee warranty to chips or boards damaged by overclocking.
What's nvidia doing? They are getting stiff competition from ATi as nvidia's highest clocked card is the EVGA GeForce 7800 GTX 512 MB card which clocks at 600 MHz and 1.8 GHz. Nvidia's reference settings are 550 MHz and 1.7 GHz. EVGA's card uses 1.1 ns DDR3 memory.
