Mwave has a do it yourself barebones system that I am considering all together with win 7 it's about $754. Is this a decent setup? I don't need anything superb - I am thinking midrange gaming that will last at least the next 5 years. any changes you would make? the problem for me is I am not confident in assembling the cpu/mb since I haven't built a pc in 15 years. i didn't really know much about the hdd card & i just figured asus used to be good so i picked that for the nvidia card but I don't even know if that's still true. I used to be an amd person, but after reading it seems like they may not be as great for gaming as the newer intel chips. k blast me & tell me why i am being stupid! ;)

INTEL Core i3 / i5 / i7 ( Socket LGA1155 ) Do-It-Yourself Kit
Bundle Options:
ARK PA-08 w/500W PSU
ASUS P8H61-M LE/CSM REV 3.0
Intel i5-2500K - 3.3G
CRUCIAL 8GB KIT DDR3 1333-(4GB x 2)
ASSEMBLE/TEST BUNDLE

Asus DRW-24B1ST Black SATA 24X Internal DVDRW / DVD Drive $20

SEAGATE ST2000DM001 Barracuda XT 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" internal hard drive (Bare Drive) $120 (or any hdd really)

ASUS ENGTX550 TI DC/DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5 192bit PCIE 2.0 SLI Support Video Card $130

in which case i'd have to upgrade the power supply by dropping another &70 ... so n/m i guess that is making it too expensive
