Angry Bad Hard Drive?

Whenevr I try to plug in my Maxtor 160 GB 7200 RPM hard drive it makes a clicking noise every second or so, kinda like a clock. Do you know what the heck is wrong with it? It used to work. I didn't update any drivers. One day my computer just froze up, when I rebooted the disk couldn't be read.
