Hi guys first time poster so be kind! My Acer Aspire 8920g laptop has developed a backlight problem. I am using it connected to my TV and it is working fine apart from the mousepad is not responsive. I can get the backlight on for a few seconds by holding Fn+F6. When I boot up the backlight works fine until I choose my user acount then it goes off. I am running windows 7 and i thought it might be a software problem but when i went to install vista the backlight went off. I don't know much about these sorts of things but I don't understand how it could be an inverter if it works for a small amount of time.
