Default AVI to DVD

does anyone have a good suggestion for converting video file to dvd.
I am using divx at the moment but it takes ages and i have tried winavi but the end product is jumpy.any suggestions would be helpfull thanks

Not sure about this (even though I use Nero, Im not an expert with it) but I think Nero converts whatever movie format you're working with into DVD format to be burned onto a DVD.

i have the latest nero but i did not no it could convert file formats i know it will burn most files but not sure about converting avi to vob files

Check www.afterdawn.com under the Digital Camcorder section. They have a sticky or something that takes you to a program to download to cover .avi to .mpeg which can then burn to a DVD. I will see if I can find it also.
