I'm using everest to tell my computer temps and i get this reading for AUX and it says 38
What is that for?

Temps

Motherboard 35-40
CPU 48-54
Aux 35-38
Harddrive 39-41

My temperatures are usually in this range, the first number being idle and then 2nd under full load. SO i just wanna know what the aux is
thanks

Um...

Maybe Dishdog but my money's on the northbridge chip.

But to be sure get real up close and personal with the specs on your system. Find out what items are monitored by the winbond chip. By deductive reasoning you'll have the answer to what aux is...

yeah, i dont think its the gpu cuz my nvidia doesn't have a sensor, that leaves the psu, which is most likely, and since mobo and cpu are already covered i think it should be the psu

:)thanks

edit: then again, i just checked my psu's specs and it says Operation temperature:0ËšC to 40ËšC
so that means it would be dead... so that's not right

interesting, so maybe it is just a temperature of the mobo because the motherboard and aux are always 2 or 3 degrees away from each other

it would help if i knew where the sensor chip on my computer was, but i think that its either the motheroard or just some bogus value as it says

thanks
