Question Audio in Video has too much low end!

I've recently recorded a concert with my DVD camera. After I transferred it to the computer, I played it and the subwoofers from the concert are VERY lound and ruin the sound. I was wondering if anyone knows of any video editing software (prefferebly free) that has and EQ or some sort of sound adjustment? Thanks for the help!
