Can anyone tell me what the diferance is between these two things?

If I am useing Lame or Audio Graber to make MP3 I always see these two settings for how I want the Audio Channels.

Stereo
Or
Joind Stereo

What is the Diferance??

Stereo is where the left and right channels are encoded separately. This is the best setting but will be a bigger file.

Joined Stereo is where the small audible differences between the L & R channels is ignored. The larger differences between the channels is kept. (Mainly on the mid to high frequency content) This results in a smaller file but you will loose some of the stereo separation.

Hope I explained that properly.

Its not worth it at all though to be honest. Keep the channel seperation :)
