Audio Driver problems

I recently downgraded my notebook pc from Vista to Windows XP. In the process, my audio/sound driver has been lost and my computer will no longer play sound. I also think that my video and graphics driver has been lost because my screen is nowhere near as clear as it was before. It's almost like looking at a 4:3 tv screen thats been forced to show in 16:9. Can anyone help me out by telling me where I can find the specific drivers I need? I am not very good at technical computer things, so if you have any links for me to follow that would be preferred. Thanks!

Well, knowing the brand of laptop would be an advantage but even knowing that the avenues are the same, go to the manufacturers website and d/load the required drivers.
