Very soon I will probably be buying a new system to replace my laptop for gaming.
Im looking at something like a Shuttle or another SFF case (Silverstone Sugo or X Qpack) so it will be easy for me to cart around to LAN's etc.

The only problem is I'd like to get the new ATI X1900 XT-X, now in the shuttle there is only a 350 Watt PSU, in games the ATI will consume at most 300 Watts, will the shuttle be able to handle this as well as the other components while gaming or would it be better going with another SFF case that can accomidate a normal ATX PSU?

u will deffinately need more power than that and i would get the 1900XT because the XTX is exactly the same with slightly faster clocks

WEll, not explode but the psu would overheat and damage your mobo, and pretty much everything touching it. I would get a bigger psu supply, definitely. Try a bigger case too; shuttles are small and the x1900 is a big card...

ya i wouldnt even bother with a shuttle, there are plenty of light aluminum cases that would be much better

Right I'll probably go for the Silverstone Sugo with an OCZ Modstream 520W PSU.

Its quite a big case and with the fact that you can put a standard ATX PSU in is an advantage.
My only concern now is heat as it only has a tiny 60mm fan for exhaust!

u will need some kind of intake because the 1900 series sucks air out of the computer, u do know it takes up 2 slots right?

Yeh, does it take air out of the computer and sends it out of the other pci slot it takes up?
So i'd b ok if i got a fan blowing fresh air directly onto the card?
