i bet none of you that think ati cards are slow have used it in conjunction with the amd chipset with an ati southbridge, it works like a charm, only way my x1950 pro is running crysis with only a 4000+ brisbane on all high with max rez of 1440x900 at 25 fps on average.
So your saying that ATI cards work better on AMD systems?

For me, it depends on the series. I liked ATI Better when the x100-x800 cards were their top-of-the-line cards... then NVIDIA caught up with the 8 series. Just like Intel and AMD, the two companies beat each other at different times in their development. Atm? I like Nvidia most.

The 2900XT sounds better than the 8800GTX and Crossfire sounds better than SLI.

Nvidia has a performance gain and then again ATi has the wonder of price/performance ratio... take the 3870 for example.. close to the 8800gt in overall performance... which is about 50-100 dollars cheaper depending on where you get it...
