I was under the impression they're the same sort of age :P ATi just released later and threw in more RAM because their customer base can afford to get it. I don't think anybody needs 512Meg RAM without two cards at all.

I do computer animation and I find the nVidias tend to run better in my opinion. They are also easy to OC w/ Coolbits.
