Default ATI Radeon HD 4850 - Need new fan / cooler

Hey, I have a HD 4850 that I've been neglecting for a while.

I am getting annoyed with the loudness of the fan when playing more demanding games. It honestly sounds like a small vacuum cleaner. Could someone please suggest a fan or cooling device I could use on the card instead?

I've never replaced a video card fan before but I am fairly tech savvy, I'll figure it out. I really know nothing about these kinds of cooling devices.

- Needs to be quieter
- Needs to properly cool the hot running ATI card
- Needs to fit properly onto the card

I'd prefer if you could find a model that this website sells:

Thanks for your time, my budget is pretty flexible seeing as they aren't overly expensive.

Hey you replied very fast, thanks.

Just for the sake of completeness here's pictures of the card in my case and the card itself. I realize my case is quite dusty I'm cleaning it once the new fan arrives.

Where exactly does the thermal grease go on a videocard? Is it the same as a CPU, wherever there's contact between the heat sink and device? If the fan comes with thermal grease pre-applied should I remove it and use my own?

Thanks again for your time.

IMHO,

the stock 4850 works great.
just us Catalyst to set it to 50% fan speed...
it shouldn't be that loud.

Hey it arrived today and I have one quick question. Can this be installed upside down? I see some pictures where the copper pipes are facing the motherboard. My pipes are facing up, away from the motherboard. The instructions that came with it show the pipes facing away from the motherboard so I assume it doesn't really matter.

It works beautifully though, I can't even hear it all. My card temperature went down a whole 20 degrees celcius. Previously, I could hear the fan spinning through my headphones while gaming, it was that loud.

Couldn't ask for better, thanks for the advice.
