you don't always have to get the latest and greatest Intel cpu to get good performance, I have an E6600 and a Q6600, both older processors, but they get the job done...

and to the OP, Intel makes more than just processors, Intel chipsets + nVidia isn't better than Intel chipsets and ATI, ask any crossfire user...

yes,intel and amd , anyone got an hd4850 or hd 4770 or gts 250/9800GTX+

you can usually check sigs to see what people are running, there are at least two 4850 users in this thread, I'm one of them...
