Hey,
I dont know if anyone can help, but for some reason this happens if I try to install the latest Catalyst driver from ATI:
I restart, and it runs slow and jumpy. For example, windows jump about and if you have a gif image as the wallpaper, this runs really slow and slows the computer down with it. This reminds me of when you first install a card, and its running off default Windows drivers...
Yet, the driver I'm using now runs great, better than great:
Version 05.4 I'm running.
I've heard on the latest ones though there is an option to turn on ATI A.I to make the card go faster, and read that it increased frame rates by even 10-20fps in some cases. So I just wanted to test this out.
I even did it in the proper way, uninstalled and then installed the new driver. It didn't like it one bit...
I ended up having to use the driver tool to bounce back to the earlier one (05.4) and so, it seems my card doesn't seem to like new drivers. At first I thought it was the driver since I've heard complaints about drivers not working correctly when they first come out.
Yet, it keeps happening, and all the latest driver releases don't seem to work.
My card is the Sapphire Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb (also in sig)
