Unhappy Athlon II x3 440. unlocking forth core

so i was expecting to be able to unlock the 4th core
on it. ive heard so much about it. and to my surprise.
AMD made it UNLOCKABLE. i used the ACC.
and i started up the system and it crashed after 20 seconds.

theres gotta be a way around this.
or did they just get smart and permanently lock it..?

i mean i do understand i bought a triple core.
and i should be happy with what i got.
but damn.. WHY MEEE!!! haha

Your 4th core is clearly bad. They are often disabled for a reason on these chips.

The 4th core is bad. The disable them because they usually are, that's also why they're sold as a tri core. You shouldn't expect to have it usable, you should feel lucky if it is.

It's luck of the draw. Sometimes the disabled core works OK, sometimes it doesn't.
