I think the FX-62 is only available for Socket AM2. Can't find one for Socket 939.

I'm not familiar with PCI-e 2.1, but I have a feeling you mean PCI version 2.1 which is more familiar. Most motherboards these days use version 2.1 so I think you should be ok. When did you buy your motherboard?

Oh, you should be ok. My motherboard is two years old too and I also have an Audigy 2 ZS card (Gamer's Edition). If I were to get an X-Fi chipset supported sound card, I will. You'll be fine with newer sound cards just as long as they are PCI compatible.

If it's already using an audigy 2 zs card then any other soundcard should perform just fine, there hasn't been much innovation in soundcards so far but we might see a little in half a year-a year.
