Default Athlon 64 revision E

I don't know if those of you heard about this, but I think it's good to know what's going on with the new Athlon CPUs especially for those that are upgrading. I have heard rumors that the new Athlon 64 may have problems working on older nforce3 and nforce4 motherboars.

"We are told that AMD changed its thermal regulation protection and that's what makes it incompatible with at least some of the Nforce 3 and Nforce 4 boards out there."

The Venice core is the revision, look at my thread. Revision E is the Venice core and it will be fine with Nforce...the inquirer made another article saying it was fine.

Like I said before, it was rumored. But any rumor is worth investigating though. That must have been an older article then that I wasn't made aware of. Glad it's fixed.

The Inquirer has a huge track record of making faulty reports. I'll wait for more official reports.
