Default Athelon64 3700+ or Athelon 64 3800+ Dual Core?

Ok, I'm in quite a perdicament. If I choose to buy the Athelon 64 3700+, it saves me roughly $80 over the A64 3800+ dual core. With that $80 I can buy another gig of RAM. However, the 3800+ gives me dual-core technology. Which do I choose? Plus! In June the new Socket AM2 is coming out....ahhhh decisions decisions.

Actually the CAS latency on my RAM is really good. It's timing are 2.5-3-3-6. It's not so much about frequency so much as it is quantity. But I'll be gaming, I just want a processor that will perform better. Dual-Core is what I want, but I don't know...
