Default ASUS P6X56D question

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131614

Does this MOBO have raid built in meaning i wont have to buy a raid card or will i still have to buy a raid card when i build my next computer. If it does have raid built into it how many drives can it support?

I'm near certain most motherboards in this day and age have built-in raid controllers along with their SATA hard drive support. You could probably do any level of raid you wish, since there's about 6-8 sata ports on that mobo

It's built in. It supports SATA RAID 0/1/5/10. It should support running at least 6 SATA drives in RAID. I'm not sure if the SATA 6Gb/s can be added for a total of 8 drives.
