Asus Eee

I'm thinking about picking up a ASUS Eee for a travel laptop. I have a primary HP badass laptop but it's a 17" 8.5lb beast. I'm thinking the 900HA is a good mix for what I would like. I'm a forum whore and lurked around the Eee forums a bit and they all seemed to think that the 900 series was very good.

For $300 I can have a good system to go to Cafe's/Restaurants/Classes/Cabin and be able to do so without lugging around my HP.

What are some pointers to the mini laptops?

Opinions you might have?

TIA

I've heard that the EEE 901 has a much better battery life than the EEE 900.

I reccomended the 901 to my Aunty, and she loves it!

As a friend of mine would say "I'm huslin on a budget, pimpin"

I'd like to stay around $300. 901's are $150 more.

Ah, I see. In that case, the 900HA is proberbly right for you!

There are other manufactures of netbooks aswell, though. Take a look at the Dell Inspiron Mini line, and also the MSI Wind

I despise dell...

I have three dead dells in my closet from friends that I've had to fix for them...

Love HP, will check them out... as well as MSI

go buy the new acer mini laptop...A HELL of a lot better deal.

RAM is disgustingly cheap for these computers!

I've looked at the acer setups, and am in the process of comparing them to the ASUS model. I've had two Acer computers and they were dog butt slow...
