Default Asus a8n sli deluxe chipset fan

For some strange reason my Asus a8n sli deluxe chipset fan, isnt running at 8000+ rpm it normally does and is getting loud. asus probe says its running below threshold and is running at 0 rpm, but it is spinning.

Anyway I'm pretty sure the fan is defective and on its last legs. Not sure if I wanna do a RMA over a fan and not have my pc for a few weeks as it all runs ok, and stable.

Does anyone know of any good quiet chipset fans that can be used in this mobo?

System:-

MOBO - ASUS A8N SLI DELUXE
CPU - AMD 64 3500+
RAM - 1024 COSAIR TWINX
GRAPHICS CARD - XFX GEFORCE 6600 256MB
HD - SATA 120GB WD, 250GB MAXTOR, 400GB HITACHI
DVD/RW - SONY DVD/RW 16X
PSU - THERMALTAKE SILENT PUREPOWER 560W

Permanent Adhesive??? WTF r u trying to do, blow the chipset up? He needs thermal compound (artic silver 5). Also, that is an Intel and AMD CPU cooler, not a chipset fan cooler.

Here, get these and then it will solve all of your troubles with that stupid ASUS board, which I HATE!

Artic Silver 5- you can also put this on your GPU heatsink, Processor heatsink, and anything else that involves a heatsink and a chip.

And the CHIPSET FAN- Nice and fast, yet very quiet, probably the best on the market.

Yeah, MSI SLi is PERFECT BOARD (except the width between the PCIe slots...) I got around that though!

The ABIT Fatality PWNS all PCIe (single card setups) though!

At the time the new msi wasnt widely available in the uk and would have cost quite abit more.
The only program i've got at the moment is the chipset fan which is'nt major. My system is stable and gets the job done, so I've got no regrets

I've seen a friend of mine run stable, with 2x 6600 GTs, and i've heard of people having endless problems. I can see both sides of the coin, the good and the bad in sli. I just hope I run ok when i'm ready for 2 gts
