Default Apple the new dell?

I'm not an apple fanboy but I do like their stuff. I saw this article Apple Tops Samsung As Nations Top Smartphone Maker In Fourth Quater Of 2012 :: The Florida News Journal

Anyone think that apple will be the new dell? I remember back in the day dell was all over the place. Now I don't see anyone with them.

Samsung's Android based devices lack a one stop for everything store for apps, music, movies, tv shows and other content.
...what? Has the author of that article not used an android phone since like 1.5?

And what would "the new dell" even mean? I suppose you could call them that, but it would be a gross oversimplification.

My reaction exactly. The author of the article is woefully ignorant regarding Android.

It looks less like a blog post and more like Apple propaganda.

Exactly, The android market/google play store doesn't have all the apps that iOS offers and the App Store offers much more security when it comes to purchasing apps and making in-game/apps purchases.

Apple is losing the race and Android has passed Apple in the number of apps in the store. Android is projected to pass the 1,000,000 app milestone months before Apple. Android is growing at a far greater rate than Apple.

Doesn't matter how many 'apps' Android has when the majority of them are crap.

Exactly, Apple have a huge amount of great apps. Apps that are available to download on both Android and iOS run better on iOS compared to how they run on android..
