i would wait for the core duo because other cpus will just seem pathetic once it comes out and its not going to be an insane price either, intel finall did somethin right lol

i've been told to wait for the amd dual core x2 to come down in price, which is imminent i'm told. also thanks for the advice on the gfx. I'm not using it for too much to be honest.

The current AMD 939 processors would lift some of the load off of your current cpu. Go for the 3400+, since you can overclock to an 3500+.

The 3500+ and the 3500+ have different memory controllers and are on different sockets.
