Question Anyone know a good free converter?

Does anyone know of a good FREE video converter that can convert.wmv to .avi, or .MOV? and when I say good converter, i dont mean one that will convert your video, but when it does, it leaves a nasty little brand name icon on your video (aka:"watermark")
any help would be appreciated.

I think you can import WMV into Windows Movie Maker and save it as an AVI... I'm pretty sure of this, but not positive. It's worth looking into, even though Movie Maker is terribly annoying.

Hope that helps.

VirtualDub can do that for you, its' a free program and all you will need is patience on how to work with it. There is also FlaskMpeg and you will need to go and get divx_alpha 3.11 You can get both of these programs and codec at
