Default Any way to block IE Explorer

Im a mozilla guy, but i keep getting popups through ie explorer. Is there any way to block the program, since i dont even use it anyway. I wanna still keep it, just in case, but right now its just becoming a cpu hoggin app. Thanks

Try using your firewall. Go into your Program List and Block the Internet Explorer. Or go to Add/Remove Windows Component in the Control Panel and remove IE.
