Default Antivirus, spyware, adware.

Heys guys i am looking for some good free antivirus, spyware and adware, programs. If you could hook me up that would be great.

ANTVIR, Norton, microsoft antispyware(now windows defender) spybot search and destroy, Ad-ware SE

Personally i use Microsoft Anti-Spyware (it is now included in Windows Defender (Beta 2)) availiable at www.microsoft.com and there is a link on the main page.

I personally also use Ad-aware SE www.download.com and look for Ad-aware SE.

As for Anti-Virus i use AVG Free which is great!

You will also need a firewall which i suggest Zone Alarm Free www.zonelabs.com

i use eTrust internet security, works well for me never had a virus on my computer.
but i don't really need one because my router has a inbuilt one.

Ah blind trust there RiverS. Good to see it's alive and well. Just because your router has a firewall doesn't mean it will block them all. I run ZA as well.

hmm spose so lol so it is best to have more that one firewall? I hear there is a new virus that breaks your firewall down...don't know what it is called but.

That's why you have the router firewall then a software firewall. I use ZA. You have to teach it as you go along. But to a lot of us it's a minor thing in comparesion to getting slapped down by a hacker...
