antivirus software is only as good as the company. if persay... i wrote a virus right now, and you just updated your software, and i sent it to you via email etc.. if its only a few days old any not mass released, and the antivirus companies do not know about it. you are vulnerable. because the antivirus will not pick it up. unless it knows that virus's signature to be able to find it

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. AVG has frequent updates as far as I've seen so they update their virus definitions a lot..

If you want a free one avast is probly the best. Their detection rates and romoval success is outstanding(Better than norton). Avg is ok at detecting a virus but if its anything bad it cant do anything with it. If you want a pay one then I would get McAfee.
