Anti spyware / malware question

I run mine while in Windows. If you ever get snagged with any nasty malware, running in safe mode is the best bet to get rid of them as they don't normally get loaded.

day to day...i run it normally in windows.
Now like mentioned above, if i get infected with something nasty, i'll usually run my scans in safemode to make sure they don't get loaded...and that there is no internet so there is no chance of the infection to spread.

If you're just doing a maintenance cleaning, I don't think there's much of a need to run your computer in safe mode. I mean, theoretically, it's better in terms of currently-running processes and what not, but ultimately unecessary.

Like the opinions above, run it in safe mode if you know you've some nasty maleware issues.

I would run in safe mode once a month - I use Avast 4.7 and found the boot scan very useful. Happy Days! Best, Julian
